In the last few weeks a lot of high profile recruits have flocked to Knoxville to impress the Tennessee coaching staff.
Harris County (GA) defensive end Jordan Jenkins recently took another trip to Knoxville. This time Jenkins brought a teammate with him.
'13 DL James Ellison visited Knoxville and impressed some of the coaches as well. Jenkins shared some much needed good news for the Vols faithful, when he told me "They (Tennessee) have secured a spot (near) the top (for me)."
The staff has struck out on quarterbacks recently. However, they have reached out to some good prospects including Jupiter,(FL) QB Tyler Cameron. Two rising juniors also camped with the Vols over the weekend. Lexington Catholic (KY) Kyle Bolin and Lessiter HS (GA) Eddie Printz have been on campus before, but only Printz received an offer.
As for Bolin, he was told that he would receive his offer if he worked on some of his mechanics. Bolin on the camp: "It was great. They loved me, but told me I had to work on my pronotion before I would get my offer." Bolin will be back in Knoxville in July.
Nashville McGavock defensive end Caleb Azubike recently gained offers 11-13 when Mississippi State, Northwestern, and Louisville came calling. He was scheduled to camp with Tennessee this past week, but was too fatigued. He will visit in July and is "95-percent sure" he will get an offer.
2013 Armwood, FL quarterback Daryl Richardson picked up an offer from the Vols. It was his first offer.
Montgomery-Bell Academy (Tn) '13 ATH/WR Jalen Ramsey recently picked up two offers from SEC east rivals, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Warren Central HS (IN) DT Tyrone Pearson will be camping with the Vols this week. His teammate, DT Sheldon Day recently camped in Knoxville and came back with high praises for the program.
Indiana RB/LB Coy Brown is coming back down to Knoxville in July in hopes of receiving an offer.
