The Volunteers have hit the recruiting trails hard again this week,coming up with an 'different' committment for the '12 class in Akron, Ohio reciever Corey Smith.

The four-star commit will have to attend East Mississippi Junior College to help in the academic department. With the hope of him still sticking with the Vols down the road.

Two time signee Texas S Eddrick Loften will be on campus in two weeks,and has been cleared by the NCAA.

The Vols have offered Norcross (Ga) WR Jason Croom. He will take a visit up to Knoxville this summer for a visit.

Montgomery (Al) LB Harding Harper (cousin of current New Orleans Saints safety Ramon Harper) has been offered by the Tennessee staff. He plans to make a official visit to Knoxville in the future.

Jackson (Tn) four-star receiver Drae Bowles has made Tennessee his clear leader over twenty different schools on his offer list.

The Tennessee staff will visit Nashville McGavock HS defensive end Caleb Azubike who has added offers from Memphis,Marshall,and Arkansas State in recent days.

My current teammate, class of '13 AP Brewer HS (Al) DT Devin Crowe (6'4" 300) will camp with the Vols this summer.

Florence (Al) ATH Beniquez Brown has made Tennessee in his top five behind the likes of Alabama, Auburn,Georgia, and Mississippi State.

Pike HS (In) defensive end Pierre Aka got a visit from Tennesse this past weeks in hopes he will camp this summer.

Coffeyville C.C. WR Antonio Jones (teammate of Vols DT signee Maurice Couch) will walk-on with Tennessee this season in hopes of a scholarship.

Tennessee has offered another in state running back in Memphis RB Jovon Robinson.

Oxford (Al) linebacker and safety (lb) Kwon Alexander and (S) Trae Elston will camp with the Vols next month.

The staff has now added two commits to the class of 2012. With that said, the recruiting trails and commits will start to heat up as summer comes closer and committments start coming in.
